The Paris Edit: Expect these bold interior trends to take over in 2026

The perfect gift is one you choose for yourself

Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favourite dates on the calendar, and the fact that it revolves around thoughtful gifting only sweetens the deal.

That said, my partner and I have recently adopted a new approach to gift-giving. Rather than hint-dropping or ending up with something that quietly requires a return, we’ve started sharing wishlists.

Without the pressure of guessing what the other really wants, we’re free to focus on what Valentine’s Day is really about: leaning into the romance and enjoying quality time (with both our partners and our self-selected gifts).

THE PARIS EDIT: JANUARY

Now's the time to start building your wishlist, and trust me, your future self and your significant other will thank you for it. Lucky for you, this edition of The Paris Edit is filled with plenty of inspiration (plus a few thoughtful gift ideas for those moments when you do need to guess).

For the romantic:

Rich, romantic, and a little luxurious, these gift options are perfect for those of us who want this Valentine's Day to feel like a true occasion.

My top picks? The Mr Siamese bag from Deadly Ponies and a bottle of Penhaligon's 'The Favourite.'

If you'd like this Valentine's Day to feel a little more laid back (but still quietly luxurious), these make for the perfect wish list additions.

Treat yourself, or have your significant other treat you to a new everyday bag (like this one from Wolff Studios), or opt for a beautiful bouquet from Flowers for Everyone.

For the man who has everything:

If, like myself, you consistently find yourself asking 'why are men so hard to buy for?' - this section of the guide is perfect for you.

I've rounded up all the thoughtfully chosen gifts I plan to buy my partner over the next few present-worthy occasions, and now sharing them with you. My only ask? Try not to sell them out before I get to them.
